Louise Swelstad

Such a simple concept, yet so difficult to actually accomplish. Grade their work right away and be present (not doing laundry and the million other things that need attention!). Thank you for sharing this, and I know that it is successful because I see the fruit of your faithfulness in your children.

Oh, Louise! It's a concept, an idea, a "most of the time" thought. Of course our days are full of five billion other things. But, in general, try to grade your kids work daily. I'm contrasting that to waiting until the weekend or (as I have observed) the end of the month. It just keeps your kids on task a little better. It motivates them a little more. And really makes your life easier in the end. By the way, I am afraid to go into my laundry room this morning...
